Here are some PowerPoint examples. The
images below are real examples of how to use text on patterned boxes
to increase readability.
These
are just some of the cool things you can do.
Not
only do the slides look attractive but also, they're easy to read.
Working
with Patterned Boxes & Text
Look at this first example. Notice
how the blue patterned box not only adds color but also helps the text
stand out more.
You
can make the patterned box any color. But without it, the text gets
lost in the background picture and is difficult to read.
Look
closely at the Welcome text. You're actually looking at
two text boxes. Both say "welcome". But one is larger and a different
color. This looks great projected on the screen.
Look at example 2. This patterned box is white. In
this example, the text is expanded over the image.
Without
the box, text would be constrained to the white portion of the slide
- making it difficult to read.
In
both examples, you can see the background image though the patterned
box. But the boxes serve to enhance text.
Here's one more example. This time, the patterned
box is used as part of the header.
The
box is a complimentary color of the slide's image. Once again, you
can see the image behind the patterned box.
The
text didn't need any help in this example. It would have been easily
readable without the additional box. So why add it?
Without
it, the slide would have looked plainer.
With
it, the slide is more attractive. And the header stands out a bit more.
We all have different levels of creativity. I never would have thought to
use some of these tricks on my own. But looking at these examples has sparked
my own creative ideas.
We
hope these examples do the same for you.
