It never ceases to amaze us how God makes our path's
cross with others - especially when new friendships will bring bring
Him glory!
This
site started out as a simple concept of wanting to help others get
started in using PowerPoint. Individually, we've spent years helping
our small churches by building PowerPoint presentations and supplying
copyright safe photos.
Then God made our paths intersect. Discovering
we had the same interests and goals, we decided to put them to
work for God's glory.
Despite coming from different parts of
the world with different cultures and backgrounds - God brought us
together to serve Him. We feel blessed to be a part of a special ministry.
Sharing our bios is a bit daunting for
us. Lets face it, some of us prefer to be behind the camera
rather than in front of it. But we've decided to put aside our personal
feelings. We hope this closer look will help you understand us and
our ministry a bit better.
We
also hope it will offer a brief testimony of how God can and will
use each of us to serve Him. He tells us to go where He sends us.
Thanks to the internet, we are able to reach out to other countries
and cultures and share His Word visually!
I'm Sherryl. I manage the web site. I was
born and raised in southern California. I first moved to Arizona in
1984 to attend Northern Arizona University (NAU). I was a pre-med student
then - working on my degree in Chemistry.
While
there, I became very passionate about campus ministry. I decided
then that I wanted to be involved in some sort ministry the rest
of my life. I'm sure burnout from all those math and science classes
had nothing to do with that!
After
graduating from NAU, I worked briefly in Prescott, Arizona, before
joining the Air Force. They sent me to England and I found my
second home.
I
left the Air Force after four years and and joined a civilian contractor.
I remained in England for several more years. In 2001, I decided
it what time to move back to Arizona to be near family.
I've
spent my adult life attending churches of many denominations all
over the world. Most of them have been small. And they've all had
one thing in common - little or no money ... and no knowledge in
setting up and running an audio-visual system.
I
learned from others, taught myself the rest and helped out when possible.
Now I want to share that experience and knowledge with others.
Hi. I’m Jodi. I’m one of the primary photographers
for this site.
I
was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from the University
of Arizona in 1989 with a degree in Elementary Education. Since then,
I’ve been teaching elementary school (grades
1-5).
I’m happily married and have been blessed with two great
kids. I’ve been a member of the same church since I was 6 years
old. I was baptized, had my first Holy Communion, and was married there.
I’ve served as the Education Director, Sunday School Teacher,
VBS Director and on the Church Council.
My
hobbies include: camping, traveling, quad riding, photography, crafts,
jewelry making, and spending time with my kids & husband. My photographs are my personal testimony
to Christ’s creation and beauty. I see Christ in everything I
look at. I see the beauty and diversity He has given us - as well as
the tragedy and despair which tests us and makes us stronger.
Even
in the ugly, there is beauty. When we are truly focused on
Him – He
surrounds us with His majesty and beauty!
Hola! I was born in Guatemala City (the city of the eternal spring)
located in Central America. My name is Caridad - but most people call
me Cari.
My
mom, a loving woman, raised a family of five kids, and guided us
with the word of God and Christian principles since we were little.
I admire, respect and love her very much. We were taught to love
and help people, with no distinction, something my mom always did
and keeps doing.
I
like computers, but especially what you can do with all the applications.
One of my favorites is Power Point. I started using computers when
I was 15 and learned to program in Basic, Fox+, Cobol, and Pascal
(of course I can’t remember those things
anymore).
I
have a degree in Business and worked in Guatemala City in different
industries: food, media and construction.
I
met Tim, my husband in December 2003; it was a long distance relationship,
which I don’t doubt was from God! After both traveling back and forth
and writing more than 600 mails, we got married in May 2005, in Guatemala
City. We now live in the Glendale, AZ.
Tim’s been a blessing
in my life. My husband is a good Christian man, who also enjoys computers
and likes to use the technology!!
I
work part time in Amazing Grace Church - where I attend with my husband.
I am doing the worship power points for every Sunday, the bulletins,
and other office work. I also translate the sermons into Spanish
for their Latino Ministry.
I’ve
been trying to learn English since I was a kid.
I lived in the Ithaca, NY in 1995 for nine months, working as “au
pair” and taking
English classes. Then I’ve been trying
to learn a little bit more every day. Even though
my pronunciation is very Hispanic, I think people
understand me!
I
enjoy doing lost of things; I am kind of an outdoor woman, who loves
being outside in contact with the nature. I like traveling, running,
climbing mountains and volcanoes, walking,
etc, etc...!!!
I
really pray that this site can reach people from all over the world
and that this resource helps you to spread the Word of the Lord in
all nations! God Bless You!
